The Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM), through the City Centre Municipality, has renovated and upgraded the public restrooms in Nargil Gardens, Al Khubeirah, Al Zafarana, among other areas, as part of measures taken to improve and maintain five public parks in the UAE capital.
The ADM has renovated and completed maintenance works at the family bathrooms on the Abu Dhabi Corniche waterfront, and has also fully equipped the restrooms for People of Determination (PoD) in these gardens and public parks.
The total financial cost of the project, which aims to enhance the efficiency of public utility services and improve the cultural appearance of the capital’s parks, was approximately $381,000 (AED1.4m).
Works included the renewal of all appliances and sanitary and electrical installations; the renewal of floors and wall ceramics; as well as the rehabilitation of interior and exterior doors.
Renovation works also included the installation of sanitary appliances and new stainless-steel sinks with high durability; installation of new energy-saving lighting; new interior doors; installation of new electrical appliances for hand drying; and the implementation of exterior paint works for bathrooms.
