Emrill secures five-year facilities management contract from Aramex

UAE-based facilities management services provider, Emrill, has secured a five-year facilities management (FM) contract from Dubai Financial Market-listed logistics giant, Aramex.

In addition to FM services,  the scope of the contract includes mechanical, engineering, and plumbing (MEP) work, housekeeping, and specialist services across Aramex’s seven facilities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

In a statement, Emrill said that it will mobilise a team of 73 people, including management and housekeeping staff at the sites, with the team set to deliver a wide range of MEP services, including firefighting, maintenance of chillers, and building maintenance systems.

Emrill will also be responsible to carry out façade cleaning, a service that was added to the company’s range of services earlier this year.

Commenting on the contract win, Emrill’s CEO, Stuart Harrison, said: “This contract marks our most significant win within the logistics sector, which we have identified as a key growth area for the business.

“We will work hard to bring the latest technology, efficiencies and sustainable practices to deliver services and ensure world-class standards are met within all Aramex’s facilities,” added Harrison.

Meanwhile, general manager of Aramex in the UAE, Ahmed Marie, said: “Our partnership with Emrill will allow us to continue our operations with utmost confidence, as we intensify efforts to ensure a well sanitised work environment.

“The agreement with Emrill will support us, not only in realising cost savings, but also increasing our productivity to affirm our commitment to providing safe and essential services to customers.”

Emrill will serve a built-up area of over 138,000m2 across seven locations in the UAE, and deploy its teams in Dubai Logistics City, Umm Ramool, Al Quoz, Mussafah, and Abu Dhabi Airport Free Zone.

Talking about how Emrill secured the contract, CFO, Sam Emery, said: “During the bidding process, we placed a real emphasis on not only providing world-class services but also on the practical steps we would take to become a valued partner.”
