Oman’s Minister of State and Governor of Muscat, HE Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, paid an inspection visit to the Yiti integrated tourism project, located on the northeastern part of the Sultanate.
Construction on Phase 1 of the project has begun with the levelling of the land in preparation for the start of implementation, which is scheduled for Q2 2021.
The project will include two hotels, including a four-star hotel and a five-star hotel, as well as a yacht marina, an integrated residential neighbourhood, and educational, health, and entertainment facilities.
The project intends to be a sustainable city in Oman, which uses clean and alternative sources of energy in line with international standards aimed at preserving the environment.
The project also aims to prevent the exploitation of natural resources in the area, according to the state-run Oman News Agency.
