Construction has started on the 14,450m2 Premier Inn Barsha Heights hotel in Dubai, which will comprise 219 rooms.
Set to be completed by Q4 2021, the hotel will be the ninth Premier Inn hotel to be located in the UAE and is part of a partnership with MBT Hotel Management & Hospitality – making its debut into the hotel industry.
The hotel will feature a licensed bar, restaurant, pool, gym and a Costa Coffee outlet.
The property is also focusing its efforts on sustainability, which will feature solar panels, a grey water system and LED lighting throughout the building.
Premier Inn said the materials being used on the building’s facade will also help reduce the hotel’s energy consumption.
Al Guhrair CEW has been appointed as the contractor for the project, JT & Partners will be the Architects, and Al Mansoury InShield International Consultancy as the project managers.
Commenting on the Barsha Heights hotel, Premier Inn Middle East managing director, Adam Nicholls, said: “Barsha Heights is a perfect location, nestled between the Marina and Downtown Dubai, a thriving hub of businesses, residents and nightlife.”
Meanwhile, MBT Hotel Management & Hospitality executive director, Niveen Ibrahim, said that the ground breaking marks a milestone for the firm.
“You can’t go wrong when you choose the experienced and right partners to work with and that’s exactly what we have with Premier Inn. We are looking forward to a successful relationship in Premier Inn – Barsha Heights and thank everyone involved so far.”
