Oman’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth represented by the General Directorate of Culture, Sports, and Youth in the Governorate of Dhofar has completed construction works at the Sports Centre in the state of Taqah.
The Sports Centre in Taqah includes an artificial turf football field, which has been constructed to international sizes and specifications.
In addition, the Sports Centre has been built to accommodate fans – upto a capacity of 1,500 seats, in addition to 100 seats for VIPs.
The centre also includes a reception hall; a number of open multi-purpose halls used for various activities; and administrative offices, among other facilities.
According to the state-run Oman News Agency, the establishment of such sports centres is part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth’s plan to provide basic infrastructure for young people in various states of the Sultanate.
The Sports Centre aims to provide Oman’s citizens and residents the opportunity to practice their hobbies and discover their talents.
