Oman’s Dhofar Municipality represented by the Roads and Lighting Department has completed the project of installing lighting poles for internal roads in the cities of Al-Asan and Madinat Al-Haq.
The project has been implemented as part of the Dhofar Municipality’s service efforts to enhance traffic safety on the internal road networks.
The project included the installation of 137 lighting poles on the main road from the Adbidot Interchange in Al-Asan in the state of Salalah to the Hobjelet Junction in Madinat Al-Haq District in the state of Taqah.
According to the state-run Oman News Agency, the Dhofar Municipality used energy-saving lighting across the entire stretch in order to ensure reduced electricity consumption, and lower the carbon footprint in line with the sultanate’s sustainable goals.
Construction Week also reported that earlier in the month Oman’s Minister of Finance Sultan bin Salem bin Saeed al-Habsi has inaugurated the Alila Hino Resort project in the province of Mirbat within the Dhofar Governorate.
The 5-star Alila Hino Resort project includes 112 hotel units, as well as a range of recreational facilities such as a range of restaurants, swimming pools, and facilities for children.
