Muscat Securities Exchange-listed (MSM) Oman National Engineering & Investment Co (ONEIC) has secured $6.1m (OMR2.3m) contract for the construction of primary substation with feeder at Thumrait from Royal Oman Police (ROP).
As part of the contract, ONEIC will build 2*20 MVA primary substation with 33/11 KV feeder.
In a stock market filing undersigned by CEO, Rashid Bin Mohammed Alghailani, construction works on the substation will be completed in 365 days starting from the date of commencement of the order, ONEIC said in a stock market filing.
Earlier this year, the contractor was awarded a construction contract worth $7.4m (OMR2.9m) by Rural Areas Electricity Company (TANWEER).
The contract covers construction of a 3*20 MVA primary substation for light industries and showroom area in the Wilayat of Duqm within the Al Wusta governorate.
In March, the ONEIC secured an operations and maintenance (O&M) contract worth $10.9m (OMR4.2m) from the sultanate’s Ministry of Health.
The contract was awarded on 3 March 2020 for The Royal Hospital for a three-year period, starting from 1 April 2020 to 1 March 2023.
