Egyptian Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Dubai-listed contracting heavyweight Orascom Construction has funded, built, and fitted a new emergency reception unit for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Kasr El Eini Hospital in Egypt.
The contractor said that the fast-track construction process was completed in three months, with the team of engineers and workers at Orascom Construction having constantly audited and followed up to ensure delivery of the critical project in record time.
Covering an area spanning 170m2, the new emergency reception was constructed and fitted with all medical equipment in accordance with the highest international standards in a larger location that can cater to about 100 to 120 patients per day
The healthcare also included equipping the reception with the required furnishing and utilities coupled with medical sections and equipment such as examination spaces equipped to monitor the patient’s vital signs and more specialised examinations involving Cardiotocograms (CTGs).
Additionally, a separate room has also been built to conduct ultrasound examination plus administrative rooms and offices for doctors, nurses, and staff. Furthermore, the entire area has been adequately ventilated with concealed air conditioner units.
