Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA) is carrying out several development projects in Khorfakkan’s Harai region, through supplying natural gas network, water service and electricity to 360 new houses.
The development works are in line with the directives of Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, HH Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, to develop all regions and supply them with efficient services in accordance with the prescribed specifications in order to provide a standard life for citizens and residents, a report by Sharjah Government Media Bureau’s (SGMB) Sharjah24 stated..
Commenting on the development works, chairman of SEWA, Eng Dr Rashid Al Leem, said that SEWA continues to implement all development projects in Khorfakkan’s regions, by supplying electricity networks, natural gas, lighting, network modification or water projects.
Al Leem stated that several development projects have completed recently in Khorfakkan through adding a transformer in Al Zubara station and Yarmouk station to strengthen the network, as well as SEWA provided water reservoir in the emirate’s Wareaa region.
He further stated that SEWA is currently working on a project to extend a water line from Khorfakkan to Shees, with technical tools, including high efficiency pipes, pumping stations and water tanks.
SEWA completed the operation of the two water pumping stations successfully in Lolwiah and Al Qadsiah regions, Al Leem concluded.
