WSP, Mirage seal 23 million hours without LTI at Address Residences Jumeirah Resort

Construction consultancy firm WSP Middle East has confirmed that it has reached 23 million hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI) alongside Mirage Leisure & Development at the Address Residences Jumeirah Resort project in Dubai.

WSP said that the milestone has been reached through “the hard work and commitment” of the team and strong, visible leadership by the management.

WSP, who are the lead consultant for the development, has been involved with some of the engineering complexities of the project including hoisting a 650-tonne skybridge to the top of the 77-storey structure.

Scheduled to be completed by the end of 2020, Address Residences Jumeirah Resort will feature 217-hotel rooms, 443 branded serviced apartments, and 478 residential units.

Commenting on the health and safety achievement, WSP Middle East project director, Tom Hoban, said: “With strong support from higher management, along with a robust focus on leadership, teamwork, cohesive risk assessment, and clearly defined communications, WSP Middle East managed to influence and embed the robust health & safety culture required to maximise site safety.

He added: “Address Residences Jumeriah Resort’s tower is a distinctive addition to Dubai’s incredible skyline and we are proud to be making a significant contribution to the city’s health & safety landscape as a leader in the construction and engineering realm.”
